Events in North Africa is marks the return of colonialists: Group The reconstituted Council of Kwame Nkrumah
Ideological Institute (KNII) has asked African
Leaders to be on the lookout for the return of the
colonialists in the light of what has been
happening in North Africa.
A statement signed by Mr Ben Anyagre, Secretary to
the Council of the newly re-registered KNII, said
Western nations were acting as good Samaritans who
were out to protect civilians but their main aim
was to re-colonise independent African nations.
“Colonel Moamar Gardafi of Libya and Laurent
Gbagbo of Cote d’Ivoire are victims of the
neo-colonialists because they are seen to be
inclined to Osagyefo’s ideologies,” It said
and stressed the need to perpetuate the ideology
through the training of the youth both in Africa
and the Diaspora.
According to the statement, Osagyefo warned about
the return of the colonialists 40 years ago and
therefore urged Africans to see what was happening
in North Africa in that context.
It urged African Leaders to be careful in their
dealings with imperialist countries and said it
was in anticipation of these developments that
Osagyefo called for the Union of African States
and establishment of an African High Command, but
these were rejected.
KNII asked the African Union “to wake up from
its slumber” and stop the Western world from
their “shameful deeds”.
