Kennedy can not take Ashantis for granted
We vehemently oppose the utterances of kennedy
Agyapong , Because of one man’s ambition to be
president at all cost, Otumfuo The Asantehene was
falsely accused, wrongly maligned and chastised by
many, who shamelessly gave no single evidence of
their allegations against Otumfuo. They forget
that Nana Akuffo has been staying in Kumasi since
2008, free of charge, at one of Otumfuo’s own
residences.

If people are blinded by politics to the extent of
hating our king, they must come to realize that
Otumfuo the Asantehene is the embodiment of our
glory and respect around the world as a people.
The Asante Kingdom (Asanteman) has existed in
glory for ages, and we will never sacrifice our
identity and heritage for the interest of
politicians who will seek to malign our Kingdom,
but go back to honour their Chiefs.

What has broken our long and painful silence is
the unguided tribal comments by the Assin Central
Member of Parliament, Kennedy Agyapong. This man
shamelessly accused Asanteman as having resolved
never to allow Akufo Addo, an Akyem, to become the
president of Ghana. He stressed this statement on
these media platforms Adom Fm, Angel Fm and Hello
Fm respectively.

The hypocrisy of this assertion and of the speaker
is that, the NPP and Akufo Addo he claims to love
more than his wife, lost in the Central region
where Kennedy Agyapong comes from. Even in his
(Kennedy Agyapong’s) own Constituency there was
a marker reduction in votes! How did he help? Has
he accused his home people of sabotaging Akufo
Addo?

Even in Abuakwa South Constituency where Akufo
Addo comes from him, Akuffo Addo, still lost about
six polling station. Does that means Akufo
Addo’s own family sabotaged him?

Let us look at the historical Presidential results
and find who have not helped Nana Akuffo Addo:

JAK indicates Prez, Kufuor who was candidate for
2000 and 2004,
Nana Addo was the Presidential candidate for 2008
and 2012.

What has misdirected and vitriolic Kennedy
Agyapong have to say these figures? Does Nana
Akuffo Addo now know who his detractors can be?

We wish to remind all politicians and everybody
that Asanteman existed long before colonialism,
Long before independence, Long before party
politics, long before NDC and NPP, And so the
Asanteman which has hosted many more from all
concerns of Ghana and the World, which has known
and maintained peace and harmony for ages, and
that has earned the respect and sincere admiration
of the world will not be left in the manipulative
hands of selfish politicians. We are much awake
and we will confront any such growing immaturity
with equal measure in the future.
