Even in the NDC, A Little Bit of Hope for Our Future I have always believed that we the people are the
reason for corruption. We ask our
leaders/dads/moms/uncles/aunties for money we know
they have to steal to give to us. We ask them for
money to even exercise our democratic right to
vote for our leaders. Instead of paying dues, we
instead ask the leaders to give us money. Then we
turn around to demand selfless and incorruptible
leadership. Do we deserve those leaders? NO! Do we
even want those kinds of leaders?
I know and believe only an anti-corruption and
competent leader can set us on a path to turn
things around but how do we get such a leader,
when all our actions engender the opposite? We
just have to be blessed to chance in on such a
leader. When we get such a leader, all good people
need to rally around, no matter his or her party
colours because such opportunities will not come
our way often, they way our culture has been
soiled by selfishness, shortcuts, love of money
above everything else, etcetera. I just hope my
party does not lose the opportunity to bless the
people with such a leader to the NDC. We will rue
that day.
We are rotten to the core everywhere and yet have
more churches/mosques per square miles than almost
everywhere on earth. Such a decadent society
cannot develop, no matter how many times we shower
our selves with platitudes like "middle income"
country or whater. The churches/mosques are
obviously not making a difference here. Will Free
SHS help? I am sure it will increase the
intelligence quotient of the people but will it
make a dent in our deteriotating culture - I have
my doubts. We need to be blessed with a competent
and transformative leadership than ever before. We
need someone who truly understand the depth of
debilitation which has befallen our culture. We
seem to have picked only the worst of aspects of
Western culture, thrown the good parts out of our
own and consequently morphed into a very bad
people. Source - Prince Sefa
