UK Premier hails ‘extraordinary feat’ of 15m jabs More than 15 million people have now been
vaccinated, a milestone hailed by the prime
minister as an “extraordinary feat” amid
mounting pressure from Tory MPs to ease lockdown
measures.
Boris Johnson said that the figure, enough to
cover everyone in the four most vulnerable groups,
is a “significant milestone” but ministers
were not “resting on their laurels”.
The government is now focusing on its target of
offering vaccines to everyone over the age of 50
and other vulnerable groups, equivalent to about
32 million people, by the end of April.
Johnson said that the “efforts of the British
people” combined with the impact of the lockdown
programme meant “we’re going to see the rates
coming down more sharply”.

believe the number of coronavirus patients who are
in hospitals in England will more than halve over
the next month. Source - The Times, UK
