Black Satellites thrash Tanzania in first game Ghana’s U20 national team, the Black Satellites,
picked a statement win against Tanzania in the
ongoing U20 African Cup of Nations in Mauritania
on Tuesday evening at the Stade Municipal
Nouadhibou.
Karim Zito’s men won 4-0 against the Taifa
Stars, courtesy of a brace from Percious Boah and
one each from Abdul Fatawu Issahaku and Joselpho
Barnes.
Dreams FC forward, Percious Boah, opened the
scoring early in the 4th minute through a
brilliantly curled free-kick into the back post of
Tanzania to give the Black Satellites a 1-0 lead.
16-year-old Abdul Fatawu Issahaku scored a worldie
goal from the halfway line just after the half
hour mark to double Ghana’s lead.
The Tanazanians dominated proceedings in the
first-half but could not make the chances they got
count, finishing the first-half two goals down.
Boah scored his second of the game and Ghana’s
third in the 71st minute after sitting down a
defender of the opposition and curled it in
superbly once again.
Schalke O4 youngster, Joselpho Barnes, wrapped up
proceedings with a close-range finish in the 89th
minute to end the game 4-0 in favour of the Black
Satellites.
Ghana leads Group C with three points after the
thumping win over Tanzania, while Morocco will
lock horns later against Gambia in the other group
