Olympics go second on league log with win over Elmina Sharks Great Olympics sit second on the Ghana Premier
League table after a 1-0 win over Elmina Sharks at
the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday afternoon in
round 14 of the league.
The Wonder club bounced back to winning ways after
their 3-1 defeat to Bechem United last week to end
Sharks’ five game unbeaten run.
Maxwell Nii Abbey Quaye’s lone effort in the
first-half was enough to hand Annor Walker’s
side the three points. He finished off a
well-worked team goal in the 21st minute.
The goal was his 5th for the club in 10 games in
the ongoing 2020/21 Ghana Premier League
campaign.
The result takes Great Olympics up to 2nd on the
standings, just a point behind league leaders,
Karela United, who have 25 points.
The victors will play as guests to Eleven Wonders,
while Elmina Sharks host Medeama at the Cape Coast
Stadium in match week 15. Source - MyNewsGh.com
