Ghana Premier League won't start on Dec 18- Em.Co member Eddie Doku
Ghana Football Association Emergency Committee
member Nii Eddie Doku has revealed that the
Premier League will not start on 18 December.

Last month, the Premier League Board announced the
Ghana top-flight would start in the second week of
December.

But there are huge doubts surroundings the kick
off date and Doku, who's chairman of the Greater
Accra Region FA, has now let the cat out of the
bag.

"I can tell you for sure that the Ghana Premier
League cannot start on the 18th December, 2016" he
told Kumasi-based Adehye FM.

"Why? Because as part of the Star Times deal, we
will have to re-institute the Gala and play the
Super Cup before the league.

"As we speak, the 2016/2017 season has not kicked
off yet so the Premier League Board has to suggest
a new date for the commencement of the new
season."
