Sports presenters Patrick Osei 'Songo' Agyemang and Kofi 'Abatay' Asare Brako

Songo, Abatay kneel to beg Kwesi Nyantakyi
Disgraced sports presenters Patrick Osei 'Songo'
Agyemang and Kofi 'Abatay' Asare Brako are
cowardly using the cover of darkness to plead with
FIFA Council member Kwesi Nyantakyi to drop his
$2m defamatory lawsuit against them,
GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

Songo, who had previously bragged that the Ghana
FA president cannot take legal action against him
claiming he is corrupt, humiliatingly knelt at the
feet of Nyantakyi pleading for forgiveness in
court before the judge appeared to hear the case.

The Asempa FM presenter, who appears on radio with
fake bravado when spewing all sorts of bizarre
accusations at Nyantakyi, timidly went on bended
knees on Wednesday to beg the man he has maligned
over the five years with unsubstantiated claims of
corruption.

'Countryman Songo' knelt down in front of
Nyantakyi in the court room begging him to forgive
him and drop the matter for an out-of-court
settlement despite continuing the libelous claims
against Ghana football's top man.

His partner in the mission of destroying Nyantakyi
with false claims corruption, Abatay, also
approached the Ghana FA boss begging him to drop
the case fearing the damaging lawsuit will lead to
him being stripped off his new position as the
General Manager of Atinka FM.

Abatay, who pleaded through counsel for Kwesi
Nyantakyi before the case was opened for hearing,
said he has been promoted to the position of
General Manager at Atinka FM and the suit can
damage him in his new role.

The ultimate humiliation comes for Abatay just two
months after he mocked the court action on his
Atinka FM sports programme but he now privately
begging Nyantakyi for mercy.

The two have been accused of consistently
labelling the Ghana FA President and FIFA Council
member as 'corrupt, a thief and a stupid person'
have been hauled before the General Jurisdiction
Court 2 to defend the claims by Kwesi Nyantakyi.

The loud-mouthed 'Fire 4 Fire' host kept his
kneeling position for about two minutes
apologising to the Ghana FA boss who is bent on
getting the case heard after being branded a
corrupt man.

A few minutes before the case was opened for
hearing, the two sports presenters who have made
public statements of habouring no fear for anyone
sneakily disappeared from the court premises
leaving no traces of their whereabouts.

To the utmost dismay of the judge, the court clerk
and other counsels who were in the court earlier
affirmed that the two were in the court before
they commenced sitting.

Counsel for Kwesi Nyantakyi prayed the court
should proceed with the hearing since his client
was ready to mount the witness box to testify but
the judge who presided over the case adjourned it
to next week 15th November.

Counsel for Asempa FM who are also affected by the
suit for providing the platforms for the two
sports presenters to defame the most successful
Ghana FA boss was also absent for the hearing.

The GFA boss is suing the Countryman Songo, Abatay
and the media company for $2m in the defamation
and libel lawsuit after 'years of consistent lies
and calculated negative campaigns', Nyantakyi will
tell on the court.

This comes just three months after three
journalists were jailed in Ghana for threatening
some judges in the country on their radio station
Montie FM.

Meanwhile, Atinka FM and three of their presenters
Kofi Asare Brako, Saddick Obama and Abraham Boakye
will be the next as tapes of their claims have
been secured for the case to be actioned in
court.

Another Multimedia station Nhyira FM - based in
Kumasi and two of their presenters have been lined
up by the FIFA Council who is bent on clearing his
name.
