Grant names squad for Egypt clash Ghana Coach Avram Grant has named 23 players for
the 2018 World Cup qualifier against Egypt in
Alexandria.
Portugal-based midfielder Alhassan Wakaso and
defender Andy Yiadom of English Championship side
Barnsley were handed their first Black Stars
call-ups for the game on 13 November at the Borg
El-Arab Stadium.
Deputy Captain Andre Ayew returns to the squad
after missing the previous game against Uganda in
Tamale due to injury.
Substantive Captain Asamoah Gyan has been ruled
out of the game due to injury.
The Black Stars will begin camping in the United
Arab Emirates (UAE) on Sunday November 6 until
they depart for Egypt on Friday November 11.
