JK Fosu bemoans bad officiating Head of coach Wa Rocket, JK Fosu has blamed their
defeat to Bechem United in the MTN semi-finals to
poor officiating.
Wa Rocket lost by two goals to nil at the Baba
Yara Stadium on Sunday. Two goals in each half
dashed the hopes of the division one side of
making it to the finals.
But Fosu, the elder brother of Maxwell Konadu,
Ghana’s assistant coach, was not impressed with
the way JA Amenya handled the match.
He claimed that Amenya interpreted the rules to
favour the premiership side which was bad for
association football.
“Once the results is two nil against Wa Rockets,
the better side has won,” he said in a post
match conference.
“But we have to go to the other side of the
story.
“I’m disappointed. This man [JA Amenya] could
have done better. He was not to cheat for us but
he interpreted the laws in an awkward way.
“It got a time some of my players were walking
because obvious infringement for us were
overlooked by the referee. He denied us an obvious
penalty of which I complained to the match
commissioner,” he added.
Bechem United will play Okwahu United in this
year’s MTN FA Cup finals on August 30, 2016 at
the newly built Cape Coast.
