Kevin-Prince Boateng

Kevin-Prince Boateng to sign one year deal with Las Palmas
Spanish La Liga side, Las Palmas have reached an
agreement with suspended Black Stars player,
Kevin-Prince Boateng with an official deal
imminent. The ex-AC Milan will sign for one season
with an option to extend.

24 hours after it was revealed that Las Palmas
were in negotiations for Kevin-Prince Boateng, AS
can confirm that an initial agreement has been
reached between the LaLiga side and the player’s
representatives.
The German-born Ghana midfielder and his agents
will meet up over Friday and Saturday to study the
contract that the Amarillos have sent to sign, and
if everything is in agreement – as is expected
– the player will travel to the Canary Isalnds
on Sunday to complete the free transfer.

The 29-year old will sign for one season, with
the option of extending the contract a further
year depending on games played and behaviour –
two factors which have caused him problems at his
previous clubs and at senior level.

Boateng who got married recently to Italian
socialite, Melissa Satta has been plaged by
chronicc knee injuries and his bad boy image
throughout his career.

The Italian league and cup winner with AC Milan
and Carling Cup winner with Tottenham Hotspur –
will undergo a medical on arrival in order to
participate in Las Palmas’ first pre-season
training session next week.

Although currently without a club, Boetang has
been a sought-after player in his career. Having
started out at Hertha Berlin, the player has had
spells at Spurs (who bought him for £5.4m),
Borussia Dortmund, Portsmouth, AC Milan and
Schalke (for a €12m transfer fee), the latter of
which rescinded the player’s contract last year
for disciplinary reasons. Boetang returned to AC
Milan in January, where his six-month term ended
in June.
