Lartey leads Golden Loopers to World Table Tennis Champioship
Accra, Feb, 24, GNA - The National Table Tennis
Team, Golden Loopers will participate in the World
Table Tennis World Championship (WTTC), fixed for
Sunday, February 28, in Malaysia.

The Loopers will be led by current national
champion, Felix Lartey with support from Derrick
Abrefa, Emmanuel Commey and Joe Sam.

The quartet will depart from Ghana on Friday, 26
and arrive in Malaysia a day before the
commencement of the championship.

The national team couldn't qualify for the
upcoming Olympic Games after a disappointing
campaign in African Table Tennis qualifiers in
Sudan.

Lartey said in an interview that, "it is true we
had a poor showing in the African qualifiers in
Sudan, and we are very disappointed, but we
looking forward to win some medals in the world
championship for Ghana".

The Loopers will seek to redeem their respective
careers in the upcoming championship if they all
able to meet their travel requirement in order to
be at the championships.
