Review of Match Day One of Ghana Premier League Accra, Feb 22, GNA - After several months of
waiting, football fans in Ghana were finally
treated with premier league football over the
weekend.
It was an electrifying atmosphere at all the
premier league centers across the country as fans
trooped to the various stadia to demonstrate how
much they miss football.
This was obviously translated into some
interesting and shocking results coupled with
quality football.
It all started on Saturday at Sogakope as former
league champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko were thumped
2-0 by academy side West Africa Football Academy
(WAFA).
The action continued on Sunday with defending
league champions Ashgold winning 2-1 over Medeama
at the Len Clay Stadium, whilst Hearts Of Oak
defeated New Edubiase 1-0 in the capital.
Other results include; Inter Allies 2-0 Aduana
Stars, Wa All Stars 3-0 Hasaacas, Ebusua Dwarfs
0-1 Dreams FC, Techiman City 1-0 Berekum Chelsea
and Bechem United 2-0 Liberty
