Preko excited by date for commencement of league
Yaw Preko Assistant coach of Accra Hearts of Oak
has welcomed the announcement by the Ghana
Football Association (GFA) to commence the league
on February 20, 2016.

According to Preko, the decision comes as a great
relief for them, because they now know the nature
of preparations to take the players through.

“For now, we know when the league will start. We
are no longer in a wonderland, we can now get our
team well prepared for the new season.

“It is even much more exciting that, just after
registration, we have been given the date for the
start of the league, now we can settle on players
to use and what to do with them,” He said in an
interview.

Perko said he was happy the GFA chose February 20,
adding that any date earlier than that will have
put a lot of pressure on them.

“I think the 20th February is good for all of
us. We shall work towards it”. He noted.
