Ghana winger Christian Atsu has returned to Bournemouth hristian Atsu returns to Bournemouth after treatment at Chelsea Ghana winger Christian Atsu has returned to
training with English Premier League side
Bournemouth after undergoing successful injury
treatment with his parent club Chelsea.
The talented winger, who is on loan from Blues,
returned to the Cherries this week after
recovering from the injury that has kept him out
of action for more than two months.
Atsu, who is on a season-long loan with
Bournemouth, was sent back to Stamford Bridge for
treatment following the stress fracture injury he
picked while playing for Ghana in September.
Bournemouth assistant boss Jason Tindall says the
Ghana winger has now returned to the club and has
already started training.
"We are at the stage with Chris where he has only
trained for a couple of days since he has been
back," the Bournemouth assistant told the Daily
Echo when asked about the Ghana international.
Atsu spent about two months with Chelsea
undergoing treatment to ensure that he returns
full fit devoid of the injury recurring.
The Ghanaian, who has been hampered by injuries
since joining Cherries on loan in the summer, has
played just two competitive matches since the
start of the season.
Atsu has not played for Bournemouth since playing
in the Capital One Cup win over Preston on 22
September. Source - Ghanasoccer
