Hearts of Oak fans’ ‘juju’ ruined my career – Charles Taylor reveals Ex-Hearts of Oak star Charles Taylor has revealed
that supporters of his former employers are
responsible for his injury woes, accusing them of
using 'black magic' to destroy his career.
Taylor was tipped for greatness when he played an
influential role in the Phobia’s CAF Champions
League success in 2000.
But the decision of the former Great Olympics
player to move to Hearts of Oak’s arch-rivals
Kumasi Asante Kotoko in 2003 under controversial
circumstances is highly regarded as the genesis of
his injury problems.
Taylor, born Bismark Asampong was never the same
after he left the Kumasi-based club after just one
season dogged with injuries.
Speaking in an interview with Stacy on
Restorations on TV3 Sunday, Taylor said the mallam
who was contracted to cast the spell on him,
recently confessed and apologised for playing a
part to ruin his burgeoning career.
“The mallam says he's unhappy with what he did
to me... he told me that some [Hearts of Oak] fans
were not happy when I joined Kotoko and so they
decided to use black magic (juju) to destroy my
career”
Taylor added, “The mallam took me to the places
where I was tied and revealed that every year they
sacrificed blood to ensure that my injury kept
worsening”.
The ex-Enugu Rangers and Etoile Du Sahel striker
who made an unfruitful attempt to return to
football in 2013 after signing for Berekum Chelsea
claims he has now left football for good and
focusing on becoming a pastor.
According to him, he has forgiven the fans who cut
short his career and hope they turn from their
evil ways. Source - Starrfmonline
