Avram Grant turns 60
Expatriate coach of Ghana’s senior national
football team, Avram Grant turmed 60 yesterday.

Grant, who took over the helms of affairs in
December last year has managed to qualify the
Stars to the finals of the ongoing Africa Cup of
Nations in Equatorial Guinea.

The former Chelsea Coach, recently said in jest
that his blue polo shirt, which he has almost
always worn to the games, could be working some
magic for him.


The Israeli told journalists moments after
Ghana’s 3-0 thrashing of host nation Equatorial
Guinea in the semi-finals that: “I won’t lie
to you I have worn my blue shirt since the second
game and everybody in Ghana wants me to continue
wearing the shirt because it is a lucky shirt.”


Grant will be leading the Stars into their final
game on Sunday against Ivory Coast.
