Afcon 2015: Caf makes changes to quarter-final venues
The games governing body has decided to relocate
the quarter-final matches at Mongomo and Ebebiyin

The Confederation of Africa Football (Caf) has
agreed to move the 2015 Afcon quarter-final
matches from Mongomo and Ebebiyin to Malabo and
Bata respectively.

The quarter-final game on July 31 was scheduled
for Ebebiyin, while the February 1 match would
have been played in Mongomo.

The decision will affect the quarter-final games
involving Groups C and D.

According to Caf, the pitches at Mongomo and
Ebebiyin, which were installed a few weeks to the
Afcon tournament, have suffered from wear and
tear.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Caf says it
wants all the quarter-finalists to play their
matches on the best available pitches.
