Hearts of Oak will win League — Frank Nelson
In his desire to reignite the fighting spirit of
Accra Hearts of Oak for them to be more
competitive and annex both local and continental
trophies, a Board member of the club, Mr Frank
Nelson, has challenged their numerous supporters
to offer their maximum support to the players as
they begin another soccer season.

According to Mr Nelson, local and continental
trophies that had eluded the club for many years
should rather ginger them to offer unflinching
support to the team for them to return to their
winning ways.

As part of his new year message to the fans, he
said 2015 should be a year to galvanize all fans
across the country to join forces with new
visions and ideas that would propel the team to
achieve more laurels.

In an interview with a local radio station
monitored by the Daily Graphic, Mr Nelson
expressed concern about the failure of Accra
Hearts of Oak to win major trophies since 2009.

He said it was therefore time for them to break
the jinx that had denied them opportunity to be
counted among the teams that had achieved much
laurels locally and internationally.

“This is the year that we believe the good Lord
will do a lot of things for us. We have to look
up to God as well because without God there is
nothing we can do, and with God, nothing is
impossible to achieve,” he sermonised.

He gave thumbs up to the technical team for the
professional manner they were handling the team
and said with the fans providing all the needed
support and showing positive attitude during
both local and continental matches, there was no
way the players would not deliver.

On their training grounds at Pobiman, he said it
was not the best, but said since they had
invested much in the project, they had to start
using it and gradually bring it to a perfect
situation .

“Accra Hearts of Oak is coming back to its
former glory and we will make sure that we will
not disappoint the fans if they offer their
unflinching support,” he noted.
