Andre Ayew rules out January exit from Marseille, wants to win Ligue 1 title
Andre Ayew has ruled out leaving Olympique
Marseille in January – insisting he wants to win
his first ever Ligue 1 title before his possible
departure from the club.

The 25-year-old is out of contract in the summer
with ongoing talks to extend his stay with the
French giants.

Marseille are torn between a decision to sell
their talismanic forward in January or risk losing
him as a free agent when his contract runs out.

But the Ghana international is desperate to pick
up his first Ligue 1 winner’s medal with
Marseille with the club maintaining its one-point
lead over PSG.

The son of Ghana legend Abedi Pele has now
confirmed he wants to remain with the side at
least until after winning the Ligue 1 title with
Marseille.

“I want to stay and I would be champion with
OM,” he said on Friday morning in response to
rising rumours over his uncertain future at his
club.

“I remain open to discussions and I have very
good relationship with the president.”

Ayew has been with Marseille throughout his
juvenile and professional career except for a
short loan stint at Arles Avignon in 2009.
