Grant looks forward to Afcon and competition in Group C Avram Grant is anticipating a tough qualification
group at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations after the
Black Stars were drawn against Senegal, South
Africa and Algeria in Group C.
The new Black Stars coach said he is excited to be
leading the team to Equatorial Guinea for the
competition.
The campaign will begin in January of next year
and Grant has full confidence that his team will
be up for the challenging group. All the teams in
Group C with the exception of Senegal are former
winners.
“When we go to the AFCON, as a coach I want us
to win games and we will win games and will see
what will happen. But we will do our best at the
tournament,” Grant told Ghanafa.org in his first
official interview.
Despite the tournament being his debut, Grant has
been a keen follower of the competition.
"I follow the African Cup because I've had players
playing in it in some of the Clubs I've managed
like Michael Essien. So I have followed the last
four editions closely,” he said. Source - Ghana FA
