Ghana's presidential commission appoint ace journalist Thomas Boakye as spokesman The Commission of Inquiry appointed to look into
matters related to Ghana's disastrous World Cup
campaign have appointed ace journalist Thomas
Boakye Agyemang as its media officer.
The young lawyer, nicknamed Tom Kruger will act as
the official mouth piece of the commission set up
by Ghana president John Dramani Mahama.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the renowned
Kumasi-based journalist cum lawyer will be
responsible with dealing with the ever-demanding
Ghanaian media.
The commission postponed its first sitting on
Monday but have invited a number of organisations
to appear before it on Wednesday August 13 at the
Accra sports stadium.
They include:
1. Ministries of Youth and Sports, Foreign
Affairs, Finance and the bank of Ghana.
2. Management/Technical teams of Black Stars and
the playing body of the Black Stars (if necessary)
as and when appropriate.
3. All Corporate Sponsors of the Black Stars for
the Brazil 2014 World Cup.
4. Service Providers of the Black Stars team to
the World Cup, example Travel and Tour, Caterers
etc.
5. “Ambassadors”/Artistes to the Brazil 2014
World Cup.
According to the Commission, and any other person
with information which will facilitate their work
can pass it through the Secretariat of the
Commission at the Accra Stadium, through the
Registrar, Commission of Inquiry, FIFA World Cup
