AshantiGold end six-game winless run, Hearts draw AshantiGold came from behind to defeat New
Edubiase 2-1 in the Adansi derby on Sunday at the
Len Clay Stadium.
The victory for the Miners ends their winless run
of six games.
Bismark Idan gave Edubiase, who won the
corresponding fixture the lead when he scored in
the 27th minute.
The Miners, who had struggled in their six games
in the League needed a second half revival as
goals from Alhaji Sani and Didier Kore secured
them victory and the bragging rights.
At the Golden City Park, Berekum Chelsea also
boosted their push up the log with a 2-0 win
against Hasaacas.
A goal in either half by Dennis Tetteh and Yaw
Alexander handed Chelsea the win which lifts them
to 9th on the log with two games in hand.
In Kumasi, Hearts of Oak shared the spoils with
King Faisal in their goalless draw game.
The result now leaves the Phobians, 11-points
