Kotoko's title ambition faces derby test Six games will be honoured in the Premier League
with competition at both ends on the table still
the main attraction.
The title might be heading to Kumasi again but the
relegation candidates for this season still
remains unknown.
The match action begins on Tuesday at the Golden
City Park where, Berekum Chelsea, with a game in
hand on all of their fellow challengers for a
top-four place take on Wa All Stars.
Chelsea, might have stumbled in the CAF Champions
League at home over the weekend but will need to
pick up the pieces when the team from Wa take to
the field.
On Wednesday, five games will be played with the
top-liner being the Kumasi derby between King
Faisal and Asante Kotoko.
The Premier League title is certainly Kotoko's to
lose now as the Porcupine Warriors attempt to
widen the gap at the top of the table.
With a 12-point gap separating the leaders, Kotoko
from the second-placed team Hearts of Oak, who do
not play in midweek, much attention will turn to
the Porcupine Warriors' count down to lifting the
title with 12 matches to go.
Though it's a derby, Kotoko could come up tops and
widen the gap at the top of the table to 15 points
by the time the final whistle sounds.
Heart of Lions will try to prevent a
third-straight loss in the league as they struggle
to hold on to a top-four place.
The Kpando-side will take on a resurgent Bechem
United, who who have moved to third on the log.
AshantiGold have fallen off the pace for the
summit after suffering three consecutive defeats
in the competition. The Miners take on
Inter-Allies, who sit at the foot of the table at
the Len Clay Stadium.
Liberty Professionals will return to their Carl
Reindorf grounds in Dansoman for the first time
this season and their opponents for their
homecoming is Hasaacas.
At the Tema Stadium, the contest between Amidaus
Professionals and New Edubiase will round up a
