Football to bring sponsors New Year cheer The turn of the year will see the Ghana Football
Association get off to an exciting New Year with a
special dinner to reward its sponsors and some
distinguished individuals.
Seven individuals, who have served in various
capacities on the judicial committees of the GFA
will receive awards for their contribution to the
success of the governing body in recent years.
Their exemplary contribution to the game will be
acknowledged during the special event at the Alisa
Hotel in Accra on Friday January 3, 2014.
The individuals are Supreme Court Justices, Sule
Gbadegbe and Anin Yeboah, Justice Isaac Aboagye,
Justice Amadou Tanko and Mr Nutifafa Kuenyehia.
The rest are Mr Kenneth Johnfia and Mr J.K.C.
Edzie.
Several sponsors contributed immensely and in
diverse ways to the development of football in the
country in 2013 which has prompted the decision to
reward them.
Headline Sponsor of the Black Stars, GNPC, who
signed a $3m a year deal to sponsor the senior
national team last year are amongst the corporate
group.
Also, beverage sponsors of the Black Stars,
Guinness Ghana Brewery Limited, who have remained
committed to the team for nearly two decades will
also be awarded.
Other Black Stars sponsors to receive awards are
Food Sponsors - CCTC (importers of Ricemaster),
Dream Sponsors - Latex Foam Ghana Limited, and
Official Banking Partner - Unibank Ghana,
Title Sponsors of the FA Cup, MTN will also be
presented with an award for its committed
financial support of the knock-out competition.
Ghana Premier League partners, Voltic Ghana
Limited and SuperSport will also be presented with
awards.
