Matchweek 19 stats: Away days are no problem for hot-shot Rodriguez

West Ham United v West Bromwich
West Ham have met West Brom five times at Upton
Park in the Barclays Premier League, and 10
different managers have taken charge.
West Bromwich Albion have won one of their last
nine Barclays Premier League meetings with West
Ham United (D4 L4).
No side has kept more clean sheets than West Ham
United in the Premier League this season (8) but
West Ham have failed to find the net in nine
Premier League matches this season (a joint-league
high).
These two sides have won the fewest points in the
Premier League in December 2013 - West Brom (1),
West Ham (2).
West Brom are on a run of eight Premier League
matches without a victory (D4 L4) - the longest
such run in the competition currently.
West Ham have scored 20% (3 of 15) of their goals
in the first half of matches this season; a
league-low.

Villa v Swansea City
Swansea have lost eight of their nine previous
league trips to Villa Park (W1), failing to score
in all eight defeats.
Aston Villa have won seven points in their nine
Barclays Premier League home matches this season
(W2 D1 L6) - no side has won fewer (Fulham and
Sunderland also with seven).
Villa have lost four successive Barclays Premier
League matches, scoring just one goal in the
process.
The Villans have not lost five successive Barclays
Premier League matches since January 2001 (the
only time it has happened to them in the PL
previously)
Christian Benteke scored in both Barclays Premier
League meetings with Swansea last season but he
will miss this match through injury.
Swansea have won two points in their last four
Barclays Premier League matches (D2 L2).
Aston Villa have failed to score in five of their
last six Barclays Premier League home fixtures.
Swansea have taken 38 points from 36 Premier
League games in 2013.
Villa have scored the first goal of the game on a
league-low three occasions in the Premier League
this season, but on each of these three occasions,
they have gone on to win the match.

Hull City v Fulham
Fulham are the only team that Hull City have faced
more than once at home in the Barclays Premier
League and maintained a 100% win rate (P2 W2).
This is Fulham’s 13th season in the Barclays
Premier League and only once (2-0 v Stoke in 2010)
have they won their final game of the year.
Hull have won two of their previous 16 Premier
League matches in the month of December (D6 L8)
and have the worst points per game record in the
month of all current top-flight sides (0.75).
Fulham have conceded a goal in 15 of their 18
Barclays Premier League fixtures this season, more
often than any other side.
Hull conceded as many goals in their last Barclays
Premier League match (3 vs Man Utd) as they had in
their previous eight Premier League home fixtures
this season (3).
Fulham have conceded a goal in each of their last
eight Premier League away matches, letting in 18
goals in the process.
23 of Dimitar Berbatov's 93 Barclays Premier
League goals (25%) have been scored in December -
at least 10 more goals than in any other month of
the year.
Fulham have conceded the first goal of the match
on 13 occasions this season; more often than any
other top-flight side.

Manchester City v Crystal Palace
Manchester City have won five and lost one of
their last 10 home league meetings with Crystal
Palace (D4).
The Eagles have both scored and conceded in nine
of their last 10 league meetings with the
Citizens.
Man City are unbeaten in their final game of the
year since returning to the Barclays Premier
League in 2002-03 (W5 D6).
Manchester City have equalled the Barclays Premier
League record for goals scored after 18 matches in
a season (53 - level with themselves in 2011-12).
The Premier League record after 19 fixtures is
also 53.
Manchester City are the only team in the Barclays
Premier League this season yet to drop a point at
home (P9 W9 D0 L0). They have also scored in each
of their last 59 Premier League home fixtures.
Alvaro Negredo has now scored in each of his last
nine competitive appearances at the Etihad
Stadium.
Tony Pulis has won nine points from his six
Barclays Premier League matches in charge of
Crystal Palace. The Eagles have kept five clean
sheets in their last eight Premier League
matches.
Man City have profited from six goals from
substitutes this season in the Barclays Premier
League; more than any other side.

Norwich City v Manchester United
Manchester United's Wayne Rooney has assisted 19
goals since the start of last season in the
Barclays Premier League; currently this is four
more than any other player (Gerrard/Hazard on
15).
Norwich City have lost 13 and won two of their
last 16 League meetings with Manchester United (W2
D1).
The Red Devils have lost two of their last three
Barclays Premier League matches at Carrow Road
without getting on the scoresheet.
Man Utd have scored five goals in their final
Premier League fixture of the year three times (in
1992, 1993 and 2009).
Norwich City have only lost four of 18 Barclays
Premier League home matches in 2013 (W6 D8).
Gary Hooper has scored in four successive Premier
League matches at Carrow Road. Indeed, Hooper is
the first Norwich player to score in four
consecutive Premier League fixtures at Carrow
Road.
Manchester United have won their last three
matches and have scored exactly three goals in
each of these fixtures.
Norwich City are the only side yet to have a
substitute score this season in the Barclays
Premier League.

Cardiff City v Sunderland
Cardiff have not met Sunderland in the top-flight
since 1956/57, when they won one and drew one of
two meetings.
Sunderland have won their last two trips to
Cardiff City in the league without conceding.
Sunderland have won only one of their 12 final
matches of the year in the Barclays Premier League
(3-1 v Bolton in 2007)
Sunderland have kept three successive clean sheets
in the Barclays Premier League - the longest run
seen in the top-flight this season is
Southampton's four in a row (Sept-Oct).
Goalkeeper Vito Mannone has kept five clean sheets
in eight Premier League starts this season for
Sunderland.
Cardiff City have lost two successive Barclays
Premier League games, they have not lost three
league games in succession since November 2009.
David Marshall (70) has made more saves than any
other goalkeeper in the Premier League this
season.

Everton v Southampton
Everton have won three and lost none of their last
seven Barclays Premier League meetings with
Southampton (D4).
The Saints have won one of 14 Barclays Premier
League trips to Goodison Park (D3 L10).
Everton have lost just three of their last 37
Barclays Premier League home matches (W24 D10 L3),
but one of those defeats came on Boxing Day
against Sunderland.
Jay Rodriguez has scored seven goals in his last
10 Premier League matches for Southampton with
five of the last six coming away from home.
Striker Rickie Lambert has scored or assisted nine
goals in his last 10 Premier League matches for
Southampton (four goals & five assists).
Eight of Everton's Barclays Premier League goals
this season have come from defenders - more than
any other club.
Morgan Schneiderlin has created the most
goalscoring chances without having assisted a goal
in the Barclays Premier League in 2013 (33).
Tim Howard will miss this match through suspension
- he has only missed two Premier League games for
Everton since the end of September 2007.

Newcastle United v Arsenal
This fixture saw the only four goal comeback to
date in Barclays Premier League history, when
Newcastle came back from 0-4 down to draw 4-4 in
February 2011.
Arsenal have lost one of their last 12 Barclays
Premier League matches at St James' Park (D7 L4).
Newcastle have conceded a total of 14 goals in
their last five Premier League fixtures against
Arsenal.
Arsenal enjoyed a 7-3 win against Newcastle last
season, which was these two sides' final fixture
of 2012. Newcastle have conceded 24 goals in their
last seven final Premier League matches of the
year.
Arsenal have lost only one of their last 17 final
matches of the year (0-1 to Sheffield United in
2006).
Alongside Spurs, Arsenal have won the most points
away from home in the Barclays Premier League this
season (19).
Olivier Giroud has only scored one of his 18
Premier League goals outside of London, but this
solitary strike came in the north-east (at
Sunderland) earlier this season.
Arsenal have won the most Premier League points in
2013, and their current 79 point tally in the year
cannot be surpassed by any other side.
Yoan Gouffran has scored in five consecutive
Premier League home matches for Newcastle United.

Chelsea v Liverpool
Chelsea have lost three and won one of their last
five Barclays Premier League home meetings with
the Reds (D1). Chelsea have won two of their last
13 Premier League encounters with Liverpool (W2 D4
L7)
Luis Suarez scored a second-half equaliser in both
Barclays Premier League meetings with Chelsea last
season.
Five of Chelsea's last seven Premier League wins
against Liverpool have come under Jose Mourinho.
Liverpool have scored 29 goals in their last 14
trips to London in the Barclays Premier League
(2.07 per game)
Liverpool have conceded a total of only three
goals in their last nine end-of-year matches.
The Reds have scored more goals in 2013 than any
other Premier League side (83).
No player has created more goalscoring chances in
the Barclays Premier League in 2013-14 than Eden
Hazard (46, level with Samir Nasri).
Luis Suarez (29 goals in 27 appearances in 2013)
needs one more goal to become only the seventh
player to reach the 30-goal mark in a calendar
year in the Barclays Premier League era.
Chelsea have never lost a Premier League home game
under Jose Mourinho, but when the original
unbeaten run continued after he left Chelsea in
2007, Liverpool were the team who ended it
(October 2008).

Spurs have only lost two of their 38 previous home
league meetings with Stoke City (W28 D8).
The Potters have only failed to score in two of
their 10 previous Barclays Premier League meetings
with Tottenham Hotspur.
Stoke have played 29 Premier League matches in
London and have scored more than once in only two
of them (17 goals in total).
Stoke have won five points away from home in the
Barclays Premier League this season; a joint
league low along with Hull (W1 D2 L6).
Spurs have conceded a goal in each of their last
eight Barclays Premier League matches - no side is
currently on a longer run than this.
At White Hart Lane, Tottenham have only managed to
score more than one goal in two of their last 11
matches in the Barclays Premier League.
