Citi FM to launch English football broadcast today At long last, the football season is here.
Fans from all over the football world, especially
in Ghana, have been counting down the days,
minutes and even seconds until the start of the
2013-14 English Premier League, or EPL, season
that kicks off on August 17.
Some experts and analysts have pointed to the
uncertainty that is swirling around the league to
justify suggesting that the upcoming title race is
"wide open."
Whatever the case may be, all the action from
England’s major competitions will be live
exclusive from Citi FM.
As you may know, the Community Shield is the first
trophy on offer and it heralds the start of the
new EPL season.
Citi FM will be broadcasting that game, between
Manchester United and Wigan Athletic, live on
Sunday as part of the launch of its coverage for
this football season.
38 match days, hundreds of hours of breathless
football and even more interactivity to include
our listeners will characterize this season’s
coverage.
Facebook, Twitter and Text messaging will form a
big part of the broadcast as the sports team draws
closer to its audience. Of course, we’ll also be
on television, so to speak, as we reintroduce our
groundbreaking live streaming on Google+ so that
should you want to watch us live in studio while
listening to us, you can do so.
1:30pm today, live from the Alisa Hotel here in
Accra. Join the station as it unveils its packed
and exclusive football schedule for the next three
years.
