Mahatma Otoo gets share of fine Ghana FA hits Hearts and players with fines The Ghana FA has slapped a fine on Hearts of Oak
and two of its players for their role in strange
incidents in the week six league fixture with
Ebusua Dwarfs at the Cape Coast Stadium.
The Phobians started the game without strikers
Mahatma Otoo and Uriah Asante who were denied
re-entry into the stadium after watching a reserve
game.
The situation delayed the 15:00GMT local time
kickoff and for that reason the club was fined.
The Ghana FA also fines the club for deceiving the
officiating referee during inspection by claiming
the two (2) players were in the washroom and
therefore could not be available for inspection.
“Hearts of Oak has been fined One Thousand, Two
Hundred and Fifty Ghana Cedis (GH? 1,250.00) for
deceiving the officiating referees during
inspection of the match. Article 23 (1) (a)
(b),” the GFA statement said.
“Hearts players Mahatma Otoo and Uriah Asante
have consequently been fined Seven Hundred and
Fifty Ghana Cedis (GH? 750.00) each for
contravening Article 23 (5) (b) (c).”
The fines are to be paid in accordance with
Article 39 (8) of the GFA Regulations Source - Ghanasoccer
