Asamoah Gyan moves to Al Ain in UAE Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan has joined United Arab
Emirates club Al-Ain on a season long loan deal
from Sunderland.
The 25-year-old, who was strongly linked with
moves to Tottenham, Galatasaray and Marseille,
completed the switch to the Middle East club this
morning.
Gyan has agreed personal terms with Al Ain and
will be unveiled by the club Thursday afternoon.
Sunderland manager Steve Bruce could afford to put
Gyan on loan after the arrival of Republic of
Korea international Ji Dong-won, Denmark striker
Nicklas Bendtner and England under-21 star Connor
Wickham at the Stadium of Light this summer.
Gyan joined Sunderland from French side Rennes in
August 2010, making 37 appearances in all
competitions for the Black Cats and scoring 11
