W/R retains Council of State rep after re-run Incumbent Council of State representative for the
Western Region Eunice Jacqueline Buah beat off
competition from her two-time challenger Ntori
Bonkyi Akomea in a fiercely contested election to
win the re-run on Monday, February 15.
Eunice Jacqueline Buah secured 24 votes as against
Nana Bonkyi Akomea’s 4 votes to retain her
position.
Last Friday when the Electoral Commission
conducted the election for a Council of State
representative for the Western Region, there was
no winner.
W/R Council of State polls tie; run-off on Monday
Incumbent Eunice Jacqueline Buah secured 14 votes
while her challenger Ntori Bonkyi Akomea also had
14 votes.

On Monday when the two met for the re-election,
