Default Roll out comprehensive plans to end streetism -Gender Activist to Gov’ Gender Activist Mrs. Diana Painstill has called on
government and Minister of Gender, Social and
Children protection to as matter of urgency roll
out comprehensive plans to end streetism in the
country.
Mrs. Diana Painstill speaking to Abusua FM’s
Akyeamkwaa Nana Kofi Asare expressed
worried expressed concern
about the rate at which streetism keeps
increasing in the country.
According to Mrs. Diana, young people will make
immense contribution in the area of health, social
and economic development than what Ghanaians are
experiencing if they are properly educated.
She also stressed that, no amount of money made by
young people, especially children on the street is
worth their educational lost.
“Ghana will not have a good future if government
didn’t roll out comprehensive plans to end
streetism. Government should invest much in young
people on the streets and support them. These
young people on the streets even though have the
desire to complete school, become drop-outs due to
several circumstances and mess their lives up,”
she added.
