Man found dead in an abandoned dam
A 40-year-old man has been found dead in an
abandoned dam at Gomoa Fetteh in the Gomoa East
District of the Central region.

Some residents who spoke to Adom News’ Kofi
Adjei claim the man was found Tuesday morning in
the river but suspects he was murdered somewhere
and later dumped in the dam to hide the body from
the public.

They added that a similar crime happened last two
years when someone was also dropped in the dam
after being killed.

“Someone actually killed him and came to drop
him here. Last two years it was the same thing
that happened. We are really living in fear. I
think someone killed him somewhere and dropped him
here. If he fell from the top he would no way land
in the water because there is a platform in front
before the edge of the water. He should have
fallen there. It’s dangerous to walk around
here. It is becoming rampant” one resident
said.

They are therefore urging the government to cover
the dam to prevent possible occurrence of such
criminal activities.
