‘NPP thugs’ assault journalists
Thugs believed to be members of pro-New Patriotic
Party (NPP) group, Delta Force have allegedly
assaulted three journalists in the Brong Ahafo
region.

The attack happened when the journalists had gone
to cover the confirmation of the District Chief
Executive at Tano South, Collins Offinam.

The thugs are said to be opposed to anyone who is
against the DCE and they targeted reporters from
particular radio stations who they believe are
opposed to the nominee and attacked them.

One of the victims, Emmanuel Jangma popularly
known as Mr. T in an interview on Adom News said
the thugs gave him some dirty slaps at the venue.

His other two colleagues, he indicated were beaten
severely but for the intervention of resident,
they would have been lynched.

Mr. T said they were rushed to the Bechem
Government Hospital for treatment and have since
been discharged.
