Zanetor Rawlings for NDC running mate?
Ahead of the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC)
primary to elect a flagbearer, a former Member of
the Council of State in the erstwhile
administration of former President John Mahama,
Nana Adjei Ampofo, has urged the party to appoint
Member of Parliament (MP) for Klottey-Korle, Dr
Zanetor Rawlings, as the running mate to the
party’s presidential candidate.

He said Zanetor Rawlings would be the best choice
to partner the next presidential candidate of the
NDC to win the 2020 elections.

Nana Ampofo, who is also a former Omanhene of the
Goaso Traditional Area in the Brong Ahafo region
said, she [Zanetor] would represent the
‘Rawlings factor’ in the NDC.

“The Rawlings issue will be solved once Dr
Rawlings becomes the running mate,” he said.

According to reports by the Daily Graphic, the
complexities of the political environment, going
into the next election, left him [Nana Ampofo] in
no doubt that Zanetor is the best to partner the
presidential candidate.

He said “So whoever leads the party into 2020,
whether former President Mahama or whoever – the
choice of running mate should be Dr Zanetor
Rawlings.”
