NDC in opposition 'best medicine' for Ghanaians - Baako
Abdul Malik Kweku Baako, Editor-in-Chief of the
New Crusading Guide newspaper, wants the National
Democratic Congress (NDC) to stay in opposition
for at least 16 more years.

Kweku Baako stated emphatically that the NDC will
never make it to government in the next four years
as hoped by some NDC faithfuls and so advised them
to stop dreaming about a quick comeback to power.

To him, "NDC in opposition is the best medicine"
for Ghanaians.

Speaking on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo', Mr. Baako vowed
he will never hope for victory for the party for
reasons that the party's loss was a good riddance
to Ghanaians.

“I will never ever pray for an NDC victory in
any election. Never, never hope for it; never wish
for it. That’s a matter I can’t renegotiate.
It’s static. It doesn’t matter who’s their
flagbearer. Even if it’s my mother or father, I
won’t vote for them,” he stressed.

He expressed profound enthusiasm over the defeat
of the NDC in the 2016 elections, stating that the
party characters were arrogant and incompetent and
so needed to be kicked out of government.

“We all know that they haven’t recovered from
the pains, which is normal. It’s like heaven on
earth. I was so happy. Kwami, this country needed
it. It sent us back to the year of 2000. The best
way – the medicine – that we needed for the
impunity, arrogance, ineptitude and incompetence,
we needed it. We really needed it. That was
medicine.”

Mr. Baako also took objection to a question raised
on the programme by a panel member, Allotey Jacobs
- NDC Central Regional Chairman - on whether or
not he would change his stance on the party should
their founder Ex-President Rawlings throw his
weight behind them.

Kweku Baako noted that “Rawlings is not the main
problem for me" when it comes to his decision
whether to vote for the NDC or not.

To him, "the NDC as a corporate entity is the
problem" and that's why he can't imagine himself
supporting the party to clinch victory in an
election.
