NPP youth declare their MP ‘missing’
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Juaben
Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Ama Pomaa
Boateng Ando is reported to have gone missing from
the constituency after assuming the reigns of
office as lawmaker for the area.

According to New Patriotic Party (NPP) youth in
the area, the MP on several instances turned down
invites to social functions in the constituency
and to some extent disregard party program
activities at constituency and regional levels
without any justification.

“She does not come for funerals; engage us on
programmes and activities in the area and others.
She keeps changing contact numbers and will never
pick up anonymous calls”. A concerned NPP Youth
leader, Stephen Daadom claimed on Kumasi-based
Sikka FM.

The MP is reported to have recently skipped the
thanksgiving church service held by the Chairman
of Council of Elders and Omanhene of the area,
Nana Otuo Sereboa where it was attended by
President Akufo-Addo and some MPs from the
region.

“I called the constituency chairman to find out
the whereabouts of our MP while the President is
around but our chairman said he cannot explain”

“This is not an isolated case. There are several
cases but we do not want to go there now. What she
doing does not speak well of her as our MP and the
party at large. I am speaking for the masses of
the youth in the area who are already disgruntled
and regret voting for her”, he lamented.

“Even the President who is representing
everybody had time to come but our MP will always
give excuses to honour invites. Well four years is
not four decades”, a livid youth leader stated.

The youth therefore called on her to change her
attitude else she should forget to run on the
party’s ticket come 2020.

All attempts to reach the MP for her reaction
proved futile as she failed to pick up several
calls placed on her mobile phone.

At the time going to press, she was yet to respond
to two text messages.
