110 ministers a Guinness world record – Ato Forson
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has the
largest government in the whole world, Cassiel Ato
Forson, former Deputy Minister of Finance, has
said.

In all, the president has appointed 110 ministers
to help him govern the country for the next four
years. His appointment has attracted criticism
from a section of the Ghanaian public, mainly from
the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC),
who claim the number of ministers will affect the
national purse.

Mr Forson, who is also MP for
Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam, wrote on his Facebook page
on Thursday March 16: “By comparing Ghana's
economic size of about $36billion and a population
size of about 27million to other countries, Nana
Akufo-Addo's government may be the largest on
earth. Guinness Book of Records must take
note.”
