Dr. Kwabena Duffour, Group’s Founder and Executive Chairman Duffuor Foundation, EIB donate to Marwako victim The Duffuor Foundation has donated 5000 Cedis to
Evelyn Boakye, the victim of the recent Marwarko
Restaurant chili-pouring incident.
The Foundation has also taken up the full cost of
her medical bills.
At a presentation ceremony at the corporate
offices of leading media group EIB Network,
officials said the gesture was their way of
meeting the needs of the victim, whose incident
has been widely condemned.
Chief Executive Officer of the EIB Network, Nathan
Kwabena Anokye Adisi whose GH One TV’s programme
State of Affairs hosted by Nana Aba Anamoah, this
week interviewed Boakye about her ordeal, said the
donation was a confirmation of the station’s
commitment to go beyond just reporting the news.
Also present at the ceremony was Nana Prempeh of
the Duffuor Foundation.
A successful initiative, the Duffuor Foundation is
the charity arm of the HODA Group of Companies
which comprise of leading local blue chips in
Finance (uniBank, uniCredit, uniSecurities),
Insurance ( Starlife, Star Assurance and Star
Microinsurance) and Media (EIB NetworK) among
other properties.
It aims to provide sustainable interventions to
better the lives of deprived individuals and
communities within Ghana and globally. The
Foundation’s primary purpose is to consolidate
the CSR efforts of the HODA Group and to further
the social upliftment cause of the Group’s
Founder and Executive Chairman, the Honourable Dr.
Kwabena Duffuor.
The Duffuor Foundation believes in aligning to the
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to further
the course of social development globally by
focusing on providing assistance that will have
real and meaningful impact for deprived
