National Organiser of the NDC, Kofi Adams Kofi Adams rejects returned 'seized' vehicles The National Organiser of the opposition National
Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams has rejected
the cars that were taken from his residence at
Tema by some National Security operatives.
His refusal to accept the cars comes on the back
that he has lodged a complaint at the Police
Station and that it should be sent there.
It was reported that the National Security
Minister, Hon Albert Kan Dapaah directed that the
five cars be returned after he has called to
apologised to Mr Adams stating that the operation
was not officially sanctioned.
But speaking in an interview with Kasapa News’
Akwasi Nsiah, the care taker in Mr Adams’ house
who happened to be his cousin, Nana Kofi Adams
said some government officials brought back one
pick up and a Landcruiser but he asked them to
send the cars to the Tema regional Police command
where he has lodged an official complaint.
According to him, his checks at some police
stations indicate that the cars have not been sent
to any police station as discussed.
‘Last night (Thursday) at about 11:pm, I saw
government officials at our gate with one pick up
and a landcruiser, I asked them the remaining of
the three cars because they took five cars away,
they told me their colleagues were on their way
with the other cars, for the sake of inventory, I
told them to send the cars to the police station
because I have lodged a complaint there. And that
I cannot accept the cars in the house. But I am
just coming from the Ashaiman barrier police
station and I was told no car has been sent there,
so as I talk to you, I don’t know where the cars
are,’ he explained.
