Police arrest ‘machoman’ for attempting to take over Tema toll booth
The Tema Police have arrested a young man who was
part of a team of ‘machomen’ who attempted to
take over the Tema toll booth.

Juliana Obeng confirmed on Adom FM’s Morning
Show, ‘Dwaso Nsem’ Monday that the police move
quickly to take action after it was reported to
them that some persons had taken over the toll
booth.

The toll booths located at the Ashaiman end of the
Accra-Tema motorway were seized and taken over by
well-built men in the early hours of Monday,
December 12.

Reports indicated that about 25 well-built men had
seized the booths.

According to the report, they walked to the booths
and ordered the workers collecting the tolls to
vacate the facility.

They then took the keys, locked the booths, and
allowed cars free passage.
Later, they forcibly took money from drivers using
the route.
