Ignore bizarre analysis - Hanna Tetteh The Minister of Foreign Affairs Hanna Serwah
Tetteh has urged members of the National
Democratic Congress to work hard to secure victory
in the upcoming December 7 elections.
Ms Tetteh who is seeking a fourth term as Member
of Parliament for the Awutu Senya West
constituency in the Central region in a Facebook
post called on voters to disregard some bizarre
analysis being made by some analysts.
“It's interesting to listen to the political
pundits discussing my constituency. Some of the
opinions are well informed, some sound quite
bizarre. My recommendation - just be patient and
wait for the results from all 119 polling stations
in Awutu Senya West to be declared then you'll
know the outcome.
“Just a few facts about the Constituency. We
have two traditional areas, the Awutu and Senya
traditional areas. For this election we have
73,141 registered voters. 26 out of the 119
polling stations are in the Senya traditional area
with 16,977 voters, the other 93 polling stations
and the rest of the registered voters are in the
Awutu traditional area. For the previous 6
elections with 5 of these in the previous larger
Awutu Senya Constituency the NPP has won the seat
once in 2004 and the NDC has won 5 times.
“The NDC always performs miserably in the Senya
traditional area and barely manages to get 20% of
the total votes cast within the registered voters
of the Senya traditional area. The NDC wins
elections in Constituency with the support of the
majority of the registered voters in the Awutu
traditional area.
“The elections are just next week, wait for all
119 polling stations to declare and then we'll see
what happens. I know the people of Awutu Senya
West appreciate the work the NDC government has
done in the constituency and I appreciate the
support and goodwill that has been extended to me
during this campaign. I'm thankful to God for his
many blessings and the opportunity to serve the
people of my constituency.
“To my team, let's stay focused, we have just
one more week of campaigning ahead. We are in the
home stretch, let's finish hard.” Source - Starrfm
