Mahama turns 58 today
President John Mahama is 58 years today having
been born in 1958.

He was born in Damongo in the Northern region.

Mr. Mahama who is the candidate of the ruling
National Democratic Congress in the upcoming
elections rose to the presidency after the demise
of his boss Professor John Mills in 2012.

He subsequently became the standard bearer of the
NDC in the 2012 elections and beat the NPP’s
Nana Akufo-Addo in a narrow win which ended up in
the Supreme Court.

Next month, Mr. Mahama is having another showdown
with the former attorney general in a poll many
have described as too close to call.

Meanwhile, popular Ghanaian pollster Ben Ephson
has predicted the President will retain the seat
with 52 percent of the popular votes while Nana
Addo, who is making a third attempt at the
flagstaff House, will manage just about 45 percent
of the ballot.
