Advise youth to shun violence: Veep to Zongo chiefs Vice President Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur has
urged leadership of the Zongo communities to
remind the youth on the need to ensure peaceful
elections on December 7.
He said very often, politicians go to Zongo
communities to recruit youth there to cause
trouble during elections, threatening the peace of
the nation.
Mr Amissah-Arthur, therefore, urged the chiefs and
imams of the various Zongo communities to help
advise the youth to resist any attempt to be used
by a politician during the elections.
The vice president said this when he paid a
courtesy call on the chiefs, imams and elders of
the Swedru Zongo community in the Agona West
constituency, as part of his four-day tour of the
Central Region.
Swedro Zongo chief Alhaji Bashiru Umar commended
government for the numerous developmental projects
in the area.
He wished President John Dramani Mahama luck in
the December polls Source - Kasapafm
