Defy working rules and step out to vote - Sir John urges bankers The former General Secretary of the opposition New
Patriotic Party (NPP) Kwadwo Osei Afriyie
popularly called Sir John, is calling on employees
in financial institutions and others in the
corporate world who have busy schedules to defy
working hours and step out to vote on December
7.
He observed that majority of banking staff do not
vote because of their tight working hours which do
not allow them time to abandon their desks to
vote.
The former General Secretary of the party further
entreated students to also defy academic rules by
voting on the elections day.
Speaking with Kwame Adinkrah host of Abusua Nkommo
on Abusua FM, Sir John urged them to exercise
their franchise by choosing their leaders wisely
devoid of complaints when their party loses the
elections.
Mr Afriyie envisaged that the Lord will help them
fight a good fight in the elections indicating
that the party’s Flagbearer Nana Addo Dankwa
Akufo-Addo is not corrupt and that he will not
fail Ghanaians when voted into power.
‘I am urging bankers to go out to vote during
the elections and return to their banking halls,
and those in the corporate world should make it a
point to vote, join the NPP to vote for Nana Addo
to receive the blessings of God. Nana’s number
five position on the ballot paper is an indication
that he will win one touch victory. Nana Addo will
not steal tax payers’ monies when voted into
power. Nana Addo will reduce taxes on goods and
services,’ he promised.
He called on Ghanaians to vote out Mahama-led
National Democratic Congress (NDC) government
which is full of corrupt officials. Source - Ultimatefm
