Mahama: Scientific polls show I’ll win ‘one touch’
President John Dramani Mahama has said there is
every indication he will win the 2016 presidential
elections in the first round of polls, obviating
the need for a run-off.

Speaking with Ural Radio, a local radio station in
the Upper East Region, he explained that he was
confident of victory because “we will be able to
achieve a first round victory…” insisting:
“There is no event that we will be going into a
second round; from what I am seeing
scientifically, plus or minus any margin of error,
we will make 50 per cent plus.”

He added that the NDC is “looking at issues of
concern to people in different regions and so the
campaign message is tailored to address the
concerns we find in any particular region and the
response we have got is very enthusiastic”,
saying: “Wherever we go, I have been warmly
welcomed.”

Mr Mahama also assured that the Tamale Airport
would contribute significantly to the growth of
the economy.
