Let’s also Try Nana Addo - Odike to Ghanaians
Disqualified presidential candidate of the United
Progressive Party (UPP) Akwasi Addai popularly
called Odike has called on Ghanaians to also try
the presidential nominee of the opposition New
Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo
by voting massively for him to win power in the
December polls.

He said the Mahama–led National Democratic
Congress (NDC) government has failed Ghanaians and
that it has brought untold hardships onto
Ghanaians.

Speaking on Ultimate breakfast show hosted by
Lantam Papanko, he said Ghanaians cannot afford
to allow the NDC rule the country again.

Addai pointed out that President Mahama performed
abysmally after given him the opportunity to lead
the country.

Odike who begun his massive campaign in Ashanti
region for NPP further blasted the NDC government
of plunging the country into serious economic
crisis.

‘We haven’t tried Nana Addo, he is somebody I
describe as an intelligent, courteous, a man of
integrity and humble so we have to give him a try.
If we try him and he doesn’t perform, then we
throw him out. It’s very simple but we cannot
continue with this administration which has
performed abysmally. The NDC administration has
plunged this country into serious economic
crisis.

‘We believe and share the same vision with NPP,
we were campaigning on agricultural mechanisation
and industry and NPP is doing same, so we will not
relent on our efforts to help them win power,’
he stated.

He rubbished claims that the party has
affiliations with the NDC.

‘We don’t have any affiliation with NDC. We
had a joint press conference with NPP and never in
the record of our history have we had any press
conference with NDC, we have given President
Mahama the opportunity and he has proven that he
is not ontop of issues. Look at the
inconsistencies and the kind of economic mess that
we are going through, everything is in disarray,
our private sector has folded up and many
factories are relocating to our neighbouring
country Ivory Coast.

Ghana is the only country that has the highest
lending rate in the whole world. Ghana is
virtually a country craving for financial
freedom,’ he emphasised.

He indicated that they have started their campaign
tour in the Brong Ahafo region to press home the
need to change NDC government and vote for NPP
government which will give them financial
security.

‘Our campaign machineries are on standby and we
will move to all the regions to campaign for
NPP,’ he said.
