Chief Justice petitioned to allow live telecast of Woyome’s oral examination
A private individual, Richard Asante Yeboah has
petioned the Chief Justice, Her Lordship Georgina
Theodora Wood to consider the live telecast of the
oral examination of Alfred Agbesi Woyome by former
Attorney General, Martin Amidu over how Mr Woyome
utilized the wrongful GH¢51.2 million judgment
debt paid him by the state.

Mr Asante Yeboah, stressed the importance of the
live telecast saying, it will bring full
transparency and further update the good people of
Ghana on how our Tax-cedi was expended in this
Woyome debacle.

The Supreme Court on Wednesday, November 16,
granted the application by former Attorney General
Martin Amidu to examine Mr. Woyome, the self
acclaimed financier of the ruling National
Democratic Congress (NDC) on how he expended the
whopping GH¢51.2 million judgment debt.

The Supreme Court presided by Justice Anim Yeboah
ordered that Mr. Woyome appears in Court on oath
on Thursday, November 24, 2016 to be examined by
Mr. Amidu.

A week to the much anticipated day, a huge section
of the public are yearning to see at first hand
how the oral exchanges between Mr Woyome and
Martin Amidu will pan out in court.

The petition by Mr Asante Yeboah in further
pushing for the live telecast:”It would equally
end the usual media spin that characterizes court
room reporting and throw more light on the matter
especially the incessant tantrums and accusations
of Mr Alfred Agbesi Woyome to the effect that the
apex court of the land, the Supreme Court has
sidestepped the constitution and has rather chosen
to persecute him.”
