Total’s Excellium to reduce emissions and pollution from vehicles As part of measures to reduce environmental
pollution, as well as enhance the engine
performance of vehicles in Ghana, petroleum
companies are developing new strategies to curb
the menace.
Energy policy think tank, Africa Centre for Energy
Policy (ACEP) earlier revealed that thousands of
Ghanaians lose their lives every year because they
inhale fumes from dirty diesel.
The report also cited the alarming health
implications caused from air pollution.
But in an interview with Citi Business News, Sales
and Marketing Manager of Total Petroleum Ghana,
Abdul Rahim Saddique said the new total Excellium
product introduced onto the Ghanaian market will
ensure less emission from vehicles onto the
environment.
“Users are indeed confirming that when they use
this product they see a reduction in their fuel
consumption. They also notice that their engines
are performing more optimally than before and
their vehicles are giving fewer emissions thereby
polluting the environment less. So it’s an
environmentally friendly product.” he said.
Mr Saddique also adds that “The excellium range
of products has the ability to clean your engine.
What happens is that there are some deposits that
build up in your engine but this range of products
are able to clean up to 93% of this deposit and
once you have a cleaner engine what it means is
that your car consumes less fuel, it is able to
perform much better then the performance of the
engine is enhanced.” Source - Citifmonline
