Okyeame Kwame receives key to Cincinnati Ghana’s rap doctor Okyeame Kwame was on Monday,
November 21, awarded with the key to the City of
Cincinnati, USA, by the mayor of the city.
Aside being presented with the key, the people of
Cincinnati have set aside the 17th of November of
every year to celebrate the ‘small small’
singer who recently graduated with a master’s
degree in Marketing Strategy from the University
of Ghana, Legon.
It will be known as the ‘Okyeame Kwame Day’.
Put together in conjunction with the Black Nurses
Association of Cincinnati and the Ghanaian
community in Cincinnati, the rapper used the
opportunity to increase awareness of Hepatitis B,
a campaign he has championed for some time now.
Okyeame Kwame who returns to Ghana Wednesday, told
host of Starr Drive Giovanni that he is elated and
motivated by the honour.
On his return, he is expected to present the key
to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
Okyeame Kwame has won several awards including GMA
Artiste of the Year in 2009.
His recent singles include Small Small, Tension
