No more secular music for me - OJ Blaq Like many other public figures, or celebrities
who’ve been healed of any sickness, rapper OJ
Blaq claims he is done recording secular music.
Blaq tells Hitz FM‘s Dr. Pounds, he wants to
“preach about God to people.”
“…I will however not record secular music
again but Gospel. I am not saying secular artistes
are not God’s own but for what God has done for
me I want to preach about God to people.”
The rapper suffered a kidney failure and was
admitted at the Renal department of the Korle Bu
Teaching Hospital for several weeks.
Even though he is still receiving treatment, the
‘Chale Wote’ act is looking forward to
recording new music,“I will go back to the
studio soon, I have spoken to Richie and other
producers. I am not fully fit but I still want to
do music.” he told Pounds during the interview.
The rapper, born Andy Nii Akrashie, gained
mainstream attention for his 2009 street anthem
‘Chale Wote’ featuring Captain Planet and
former label mate, Asem.
He was signed to Lynx Entertainment, and also
featured in Popular Television series Sun
Cityalongside Van Vicker, Ekow Smith-Asante and
the late Suzzy Williams Source - Ghanamusic.com
